A grassroots
movement for
meaningful change.

SMILE (Society for Meaningful Intervention, Learning and Empowerment) is a Kerala-based non-profit organisation registered under the Kerala Societies Registration Act, 2025, on 7 July 2026. The organisation also holds registrations under Sections 12A and 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961, supporting its commitment to structured and accountable social development initiatives.

Led by a team of professional social workers with over a decade of experience in social development, training, community mobilisation, capacity building and programme implementation, SMILE works at the intersection of education, inclusion and community development.

We partner with children, youth, families, schools, local self-government institutions, panchayats and communities to create meaningful opportunities for learning, personal growth and empowerment.

At SMILE, we believe that sustainable social change begins by understanding people, recognising their strengths and working together to address the challenges they face. Our programmes are designed around the real needs of communities, with an emphasis on practical solutions, active participation and measurable outcomes.
